Welcome to a blog for Sunday School Leaders! A few weeks ago, a group of directors who lead Sunday School in their respective states (Southern Baptist state conventions) were in a meeting when someone mentioned that we ought to start a group blog. We all liked the idea and… well, here it is!
We are passionate about groups (Sunday School or Home Groups) who have an “open group” strategy to reach unchurched people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples… across the street and around the world!
You will find that the contributors on this blog passionately believe that involving unchurched people in a small group Bible study is one of the most effective strategies a church has to lead people to Christ. And we also believe that the best way a church can organize itself around its Gospel mission is through its Sunday School classes or Small Groups. A Sunday School class or small group provides opportunities to involve people in Bible study, discipleship, and ministry that is so essential to the Christian life.
Feel free to interact with us and leave comments. If you have ideas or questions, write it in the comments section and this network of people will interact with it. Of course, if you have a topic you would like addressed, feel free to email it in at info@sundayschoolleader.com.
